Eclectic, Artistic & Unafraid of Color
The personal sacred space of Bea Pila and Carlos Gonzalez. The couple decided to build their dream home from the ground up, but were “scared to death” of the loss of character that new construction can sometimes bring.
Thus, their creation of a “new old home” that showcases high design, balanced with a comfort and durability that allow them to effortlessly enjoy living within. Heavily influenced by the Tuscan villas Bea and Carlos frequented during their most cherished travels together, modern comforts were contrasted with distressed-like elements.
Open style rooms flowed into one another to maximize every nook and corner, carefully arranged in lifestyle vignettes that encourage each other’s respective favorite past times. The decor pays homage to Bea’s native Cuba with an eclectic mix of patterns, colors, and textures; vintage finds; and treasured collections acquired over the years around the globe (the same carry-on suitcase continues to accompany Bea’s latest discoveries back to their new home).
